THIS PAGE IS DEDICATED TO YOUR FEEDBACK! I AM HONORED AND HUMBLED BY IT, BUT I HAVE TO BE HONEST AND SAY IT IS GREAT TO HEAR!
THESE ARE COPIED-AND-PASTED COMMENTS FROM SAVED EMAILS OF VISITORS TO THIS, MY WEBSITE!
THEY RANGE FROM THE VERY SHORT, TO THE VERY BRAZEN, TO THE CASUAL, TO THE LENGTHY, TO THE VERY SINCERE AND HEARTFELT - AND EVEN TO THE UTTERLY BIZARRE! ALL ARE APPRECIATED, THOUGH! THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL THE COMPLIMENTS!

Hey, Everyone! Thanks Again For The Compliments! Really, It Really Makes Me Feel Warm To Be Appreciated Like This! But What I'd REALLY Like To Hear From You Is About YOURSELVES...So, Tell Me A Bit About YOU!

Wow! REALLY enjoyed your website! You are so photogenic and fun to look at on a creative level as well!

Loved it - all ot it! Your life, wow! Awesome pics! A great guy! And I spent the last TWO days - not one - count 'em - two - on your sites!!

I have not been able to stop reading your memoirs! At first, to be honest as I don't get much spare time, I was just going to take a glance and browse through it, but I found myself not wanting to stop reading! Just like a great book you can't put down - only on screen! I laughed. I cried. I wanted to stand up and applaud you at several parts!

As I read all the things you've perservered through, I wanted you to reach that "Hollywood Happy Ending"! And, so far, you ARE in the process of reaching it! Congrats! Can't wait to read all the updates as they come!

what is it about you that has me so very captivated????

I would very much like to meet you...  I have spent a lot of time reading about you, looking at pictures of you, reviewing your career...I would love to meet you...

Hey! Had a blast with the weblinks page!

I'd like to take a moment to tell you how great of a writer you are in addition to all your other talents! You really made us feel like we right there on your shoulder - going through your life right along with you. You can really make a person see, hear, and feel what you see, hear, and feel. For example, first you make us fear and almost hate your mother. Then you make US forgive her, too, and ball OUR eyes out when she died and miss her. You can't put a price on such an ability, Gerard!

yo, G! you have a real cool site. everything is cool. I like how in your photos you run the gammit from innocent altarboy to naughty and leather masked and almost everything in between.

I can't begin to tell you how blown away I am by your script and what I've read so far.  It's an amazing gift for someone like me who lives for the arts.  It's another thing we have in common and it's mind-blowing!!  Best of all, you sound as if you're getting back to your old self.  You sound like the Gerard I've come to know, admire and love.

u r a real * as mozart. u r a real * as Peter Pan. u r a real * as Freddy. u r a real * as Luke Skywalker. u r a real * as Dracula. u r a real * as Grinch. u r a real * as a cowboy. u r a real * as Shrek. u r a real * as a seventies guy. u r a real * as a haunting ghost boy. u r a real * as a churchboy. u r a real * as Snoopy. u r a real * as a Disneyland guy. u r a real * as James Dean. u r a real * period. but u r the biggest * as Gerard Christian Zacher!!

Hey, mate! It looked real cool and you are a real something of a lad! I read where you got made fun of and got beat up by bullies. I was, oh. Not such a popular lad in school myself. But I read how you got past it all and changed and are going after what you want and are getting to be successful.

SIR, you have to be the hottest man on the entire network, SIR, i would cut off my right arm for the opportunity to worship you

you and I have overcome our own adversity: stronger.

Saw ur video and dvd pics! Read ur autobio...Hey Xenite! ur courage will change the world! du da da du du du!

Forgive me for sounding religious, but upon reviewing your site, I have to say this. "The stone the builders rejected has [indeed] become the corner stone!"

Gerard -- have you contacted Mary Tyler Moore in regard to your dream of helping others with diabetes?  She's a heck of a nice lady who I'm sure could provide some guidance in helping with the first steps of your organization.  Reading that part brought more tears of sheer, utter joy to my eyes.  I mean, I've never met another person who seems to have such a similar want and desire as myself, when it comes to helping others!!  I think it's astounding, I truly do.  Each of our exchanges seems to reveal another part of ourselves, yet we see it in the other...I don't know how many times I've read one of your postings and thought to myself, 'This guy is on the same wavelength as me...I'd do just the same thing...I'd have moved to California too...I'd have taken a great deal of pride in the way my Characters were created, yet I love those who wear the tacky costumes, as well...'
It's all so uncanny and wonderful.

hey! AWESOME!!! I love all the make up and special effects stuff. plus youre a hottie! :) I work in a costume shop so i really get off on that kind of stuff. i cannot attend this week but if it will be a regular thing, you will definitely be seeing me there! later hottie!

your altarboy scene is my wallpaper

I'm sure Ari (original Jason) was pleasantly surprised when you showed up for his show.  So often, people in the entertainment industry are led on by those who wish to hob-nob with the rich and famous.  These "fans" have no intention of actually doing anything for the celebrity.  Instead, they fully expect the celebrity to do anything and all for them.  It's very hard for celebrities to know who and who not to trust, who and who not to allow into their social circles.  They never know if a person likes them for the person they truly are -- or -- whether they just want something out of them.  It's kind of like the way you and I gage the people in our lives.  Certain people like us for ourselves, while others want what they can get out of us, take advantage of us and sap us dry.  In reality, I guess that's our own fault for being kind, trusting people.  In the end, however, it has helped open my eyes to social situations.  That's why I classify between friends and acquaintances.
Kudos on the media attention as well.  A job well done will always be rewarded.  That's what I honestly believe.  No, you may not see the results immediately.  But, if you put the best you have into something and really make the effort, it pays off in the end.  This is what has happened with you.  I have to say I'm proud of what you accomplished out there yesterday, Gerard.  It's always nice to hear when others find a clear path to self happiness and personal accomplishment.  I've never understood those who were jealous of others for making their dreams come true.  I hail those who make a difference in not only their lives, but the lives of others, to make this a better world.  However, no matter how hard we try, there are always the soothsayers -- the ones who are there to knock us down.  To hell with 'em, I say.  I have enough self confidence, enough self-respect to allow myself to appreciate a job well done.  It's obvious you share these attributes -- thus -- your success.  Bravo!!

wow, so a nice man ..... regards from frankfurt

Adapting that story into something akin to "The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow" is nothing short of genius.  Please tell me this is not a work in progress, as the outline seems so real, so enthralling, I would hope you wouldn't change a thing.  I mean this from the inner part of me that recognizes a quality storyline when I see it. Once the theater darkens and forest appears, the audience will be enraptured by the spooky darkness of the forest, the speed and dexterity with which she chases her victims, the sounds and shadows which lurk from every angle.  It will open a motion picture which is sure to please the adventurer in all of us.
And this, I believe, is where I remove my hat, bow and speak in humble tones at the creativity of such an adaption.  Your mind takes you in many the same directions as mine, it is astounding.  However similar we may be, though, it's truly a pleasure to enjoy the creativity of another -- especially one you know to be a talented story teller who uses what is within to bring a story out -- you are a master at such creativity, Gerard.

Yours is a gentle, noble, and very inspiring soul.

F---in beautiful!

Just checked out your website, great pics, a very interesting and exciting life, and looks like we have a lot in common in regard to event production, so we should have a lot to talk about when we meet.
As I have my own company and my schedule is pretty flexible, most evenings and weekends are free.
What days do you have off? Maybe we can meet up some time this week? I am always up for a good talk to get to know a person, friends are important as well as contacts.

Cute Face and Eyes....regards

Great website!  Love the photos and postings you have on there!  I can book 2 hour photo sittings next weekend while I'm in LA (I am San Diego based).  I can also work with you at your location.

yummi!!!!!! :-)

Hey Gerard,
I am very interested in your website - great photography! Let me know when you are going to be ready with your project.  I likely won't be back to LA until the end of August (probably Labor day weekend, but not sure yet).  Keep an eye out Images site, as it will be updated when I have a trip planned.  I will also email you before I come up. So please keep an eye out!

You have many different looks and each one of them has a special, unique, sexy allure all its own!

Now, the fact that you are beautiful inside, coupled with the fact that you're physically attractive on the outside is just the frosting on the cake!!  I cannot tell you how many of the female Interns have looked at my cork board and said, "Oh my God...who is that?  He's a fox!!"  I just smile and say, "That's my good friend, Gerard.  Isn't he beautiful?"  It makes me smile inside.
One day, one of the girls was going goo-goo over your photos and she said, "He is so handsome.  I bet he's not snotty about it, is he?"  I said, "No, he is not."  Again, I smiled inside.

SWEET !!!!

What can I say? I'll tell you what I can say. You were victimized, but never a victim. You were persecuted, but never a martyr. You were suppressed, but never allowed yourself to be held down. You were discouraged, but remained full of hope. They all thought they had you defeated, but right under their noses, you became a great champion.

And then there's Gerard!  You see, you are the missing link, my sounding board, my collaborator of tomorrow.  You and I are going to be throwing ideas back and forth at one another like it's no ones business and the entertainment industry ain't gonna know what hit 'em!!
You see, in Hollywood, let alone anywhere within the entertainment industry, it takes a creative edge -- a special something that everyone is looking for, few hit upon and others will never find.  Well, Gerard, we've found that edge.  At least, I feel as if I have in you.

What a bio! You have a great talent for holding one's attention!

you go, Gerard!!!  I think that's awesome.  I'm going to have to read that again in detail to take it all in.  You have such a wonderful, amazing way of expressing yourself in writing -- much the same as myself.  I've been told by many I should be either acting in comedy (Improv most likely) or a writer.  Gee, Gerard, another thing we have in common...should we begin compiling a list???  I think it's wonderful.

Your character photos are so cool! On the other hand, it's such a shame for you to take that makeup and turn such an attractive, angelic face into such a grotesque, demonic one! But at least you put it back again! LOL! Really, that's talent!

Cool site there. I am really interested in joining your comedy group.

This will be very quick as I'm in the flight attendant lounge in Dallas on a short break from recruiting.  We've seen several thousand applicants in group interviews since early this morning.  In all we've sent about 200 for personal one-on-one interviews.  From that 200 we've hired 22 people for the next class.  Whew!!
As for your photos...I loved them all!!!  You're so talented with makeup. Wish I had that gift.  Last Halloween I went as Caesar and everyone howled when I walked into the room in my Toga, wrap-around sandals and leaves in my hair!!  No makeup...just me.  Then again, that's usually the case.  I'm a pretty simple, down-to-earth spirit when it comes down to it.
Well...back to recruiting!!  I leave for Amundsen in two weeks, so hopefully we'll have a chance to talk on the phone before then.  Also, we can e-mail while I am there.  That's no problem.  I look forward to it.  It would be nice to have someone other than family or colleagues with which to share e-mail...especially a cupie-doll like you!!
Sorry such a short message...I'll write more when this recruiting call is over.  I will, however, check my laptop in the room later tonight to see if I've heard back from you.  I enjoy your e-mails very much.

HELL of a website, man! A creative genius in the making!

And, as a matter of record, there is certainly more to a person than what's outside.  Indeed, you're absolutely, 100% beautiful -- inside and out -- from what I've read.
And so, like me, you seem agreeable, as well as being somewhat of a fun-loving and decent guy.  I ask for no less, nor do I claim to have more to give.  Thus, the statement that I am 'just me,' is true.  I see the same virtues in you and it's refreshing.
Indeed, diabetes is hard to live with, I know.  My best friend had it the entire time I was growing up.  We were on the California All Star Swim Team and attended private school together.  Those were the days when testing kits were big, bulky things and he really suffered while testing.  These days, he says it's much easier with the new devices.  I'm glad to hear that you have a no-nonsense attitude in dealing with your condition -- an amiable trait to have.  Some, who don't want to believe it could "happen to them" are playing dangerously, eating wrong and not testing regularly.  You keep it up, Gerard.  If it ever gets to the point of where you need someone to talk to, let me know, I'll be there.

A complete and total pleasure.  Then again, judging from all I've gleamed within our correspondence, you are a complete and total pleasure!!  Case closed!!

You have an uncanny ability to teach lessons in life without even realizing it. There is so much you could want revenge for on so many people and situations. So many things you could still be angry and bitter over. Yet, you've managed to let it all go and even make peace with some of those who tormented you. You seem so happy and fulfilled and you're achieving levels of success, and aside of your recounting your experiences, your friends are right in that there seems to be no trace of the baggage you could and by a lot of accounts should have. One could only wish to have many of your qualities.

How I love your stories about Community Theatre.  I once played Professor Higgins in a local treatment of My Fair Lady.  We had amazing sets.  Higgins' home was expansive and had the second-story flat/platform/winding metal staircase leading to the balcony above.  Well, one night while I was performing "I'm An Ordinary Man" and running around the stage turning on a myriad of Victrolas at fast speed to imitate a woman's chirping, I ran up the stairs to turn on the last Victrola, turned it on and on cue at the end of the song, went through the upper doorway and slammed the door.  With that, I felt a "whoosh" behind me on the platform and heard an audible "Ohhhhh...." from the audience.  I turned just in time to see the flat coming loose from the supports and fall onto the stage below!!  The man playing Pickering, who was seated in an easy chair, just sat there as the mat came down...his head emerging from a hole created when it fell on top of him.  The theatre went silent, the orchestra began to play the Overture and curtain came down!!!  What a mess!!!  After a forty minute break, we returned to the show...and about half the audience, who had left the theatre.  I'll never forget that as long as I live.  To this day I think it's hilarious.
I'm so glad your diabetes is under control.  Good for you.  Keep on top of it and I'll wait for reports on how you're doing from the Pole.
I'm glad you enjoy our correspondance, as do I.  I also find it interesting that you and I share the "Peter Pan" coincidence.  Oh well, it's better for Peter Pans to socialize in the same circles than not, isn't it?  I'm glad we met, too.

You are without question one of the lights of the world, Gerard.

I checked it out yesterday and have one word - WOW!

You know, I read it and I'm astounded.
I mean, I've read your webpage, seen your makeup and
special effect costumes -- all of it -- and I'm super
impressed!!!  You should absolutely be in the
movie/entertainment business for films
and/or stage.  I mean that, Gerard.  I'm kind of
envious of your natural talent.
Some of the greatest people in the world are self
made; people who did it on their own.  People who
discovered they had a knack for something, perfected
it and made a fortune.  I have a gut-feeling that this
is your future and I'm glad you're going with it, I
really am.  Hats off to you, my friend!!!

You and my Mom have something in common, in that you rose from adversity in childhood to become strong, amazing people who make a difference in the lives of others.  My Grandmother was a lovely woman, although she suffered from a chemical in-balance -- now known as Manic Depression -- back when Mom was a child.  She would be happy as a lark, then fall to lows which resulted in mental and physical abuse (spankings) for Mom.  She could really be mean, cruel and vicious in the comments and actions she'd take.  However, Mom always loved her mother and tried to understand her.  She understood, even at a young age, that something with Grandma wasn't right.  As such, she continued to love and adore her mother until her dying day.  Moreover, Mom grew up to become a well-balanced, even-keeled, loved-by-all and dependable person in her own right.  This is unlike Mom's older sister, Peggy, who chose not to forget or forgive my Grandmother for years of abuse.  My aunt is a miserable, bitter woman to this day.  But, not Mom!!  Mom is strong, people come to her for advice, she's loyal, dedicated and always there when you need her.  An amazing person in her own right.  I just find it uncanny that yet again, you and I have another similarity in our lives -- albeit vicariously through my Mom -- it's another coincidence all the same.
Mom and I have been writing back and forth.  I shared with her the fact that I have a new friend who suffered a great deal of the same pain and abuse that she did growing up.  Furthermore, I pointed out that you'd overcome this with a positive attitude at all times, despite the downfalls.  Mom's response: "I like this guy already!!  Anyone who could go through what I did and come out of it a well-balanced person has my respect."  I thought you'd like to hear that, Gerard.  You see, I told you we vicariously shared another experience through my Dear Mother.  With all the similarities between you and I, it doesn't really surprise me.

We'll definately be seeing YOU in the movies, I can tell.

I found your ambition to be one who helps others so admirable, I realized upon reading your story that I had welled up with tears!!  It's true.  Then again, I cry at the drop of a hat -- mostly when something makes me really happy -- I'll break into tears of joy.  That's the effect your story has on me -- joy, truth and ambitions toward a brighter future for not just yourself, but others.  How admirable, my friend!!  Like you, I've always been the type to use life-mistakes as learning tools -- not a crutch.  After all, we are all responsible for our own destiny; thus, we must take responsibility for our actions and our actions alone.

you are cute.

As a matter of fact, one of the girls came in a while ago to borrow some scotch tape. She looked at my cork board and said, "Oh! Are you a fan of Freddy?"  It took a second to register what she had asked, then it came to me.  "Oh," I smiled, "the pictures are of a good friend who represents the character of Freddy...amazing isn't he?"  She was amazed.  Then again, who wouldn't be?  You're a master at what you do...I know dat's right!!!!

As for the photos, heck!!  I needed something to spice up the plain decor of this room!!  I have a lot of photos up there, I just added yours to the mix.  They look good, too.  I love your character photos, but really love the Peter Pan Attraction photos the best.  Oh, and that photo of you laying in bed ain't too bad, either!!  You're a cute boy with a big heart -- a combination you don't see often these days.

mmm you are so f---ing cute! thinking of you in your nice suits or tux is such a hot thought!

Your ordeal going up that hill must have been a nightmare!!  Bless your dear Heart, Gerard!!!  However, you prevailed and managed to do what had to be done to make it up that hill, to get the help you needed.  I'm proud to know not one, but two wonderful people in my life who overcome adversity in the face of diabetes.  To me, both of you are brave, amazing people.  How I admire your courage and strength of will to overcome such difficulty.  Then again, when I think of you two, I'm not really surprised -- you're definitely cut of the same mold.  I hold both of you in high esteem.I sat dumbfounded, reading that and wishing to God I'd been the one to happen by while you were undergoing such a an ordeal...oh, how I would have taken care of you. I know what it's like to be far away from family and the real in my life, so I can only imagine what you must have felt, what thoughts went through your mind as you lay there on that hill.

u r a heartthrob

Presumptuous or not, I have to say something, Gerard.  I may never hear from you again once I write this sentence.  Then again (and I think I'm right about this), it could be something you've been anxiously awaiting for me to say.  Do you have it yet?  Any idea what I'm about to say?  Well, let's put it this way: me and my friends -- we always greet and say goodbye to one another with three simple words -- important words that are not uttered in vain.  They aren't said with empty meaning; nor are they meant to imply anything other than what we feel in our hearts.  It's our way of showing we care.  And so...I love you, Gerard.
I do.  I really, really do.  There's so much to admire about your beautiful and shining spirit, that I want you to hear these words -- I feel it important for you to hear me say this -- because life can be taken away in the blink of an eye.  Once gone, it can never be recaptured.

cool to see someone who appreciates life

As for your Spoof Humor -- I'm absolutely blown away!! Anyone who can't poke fun at things such as this has a real problem.  These are folks who have a difficult time dealing with others in the every day world, yes? Personally, I find your ideas nothing short of brilliant, and hope you'll allow me to join in on your wacky world!

Hey, Gerard! Great website! I'd like to tell you about your memoirs and photos and links page, but I see that so many others have already complimented you on those enough that I couldn't say anything you haven't seen many times already. I think your 80s Songs and Fave Entertainment pages are underrated! I really enjoyed those and they took me back to great times! Thankx!
